  • ‘Song Seeking’, a cross-agency collaboration between Mary Immaculate College, the Association of Irish Choirs, and the Irish Refugee Council, funded by Creative Ireland under the National Creativity Fund.

  • ‘The Happy Grass’ commissioned by Culwick Choral Society, Dublin to celebrate their 120th Anniversary

  • ‘Sing, Sing, Music is Given: A Song for Holly’ commissioned by Paul and Rhona O’Grady

  • ‘In te, Christe’ awarded Prize for best new work at Florilège Vocal de Tours 2016
  • ‘It’s Strange About Stars’ commissioned by Laetare Vocal Ensemble. Winner of Contemporary Music Centre Trophy at Cork International Choral Festival 2017
  • ‘Bridal Song’ commissioned by countertenor Eoin Conway. Premiered at Wigmore Hall, London
  • ‘A Crazed Girl’ commissioned Laetare Vocal Ensemble. Winner of Feis Ceoil Choral Composition Award 2016. Winner of Yeats Trophy, Sligo International Choral; Festival 2016. Winner of Contemporary Music Centre Trophy at Cork International Choral Festival 2016. Broadcast on RTÉ Lyric FM.
  • ‘Lament for the Poets 1916’ commissioned by West Cork Chamber Music Festival. Broadcast on RTÉ Lyric FM.
  • ‘Together’ commissioned by Pride in London Festival 2016 as the festival anthem,
  • ‘No Go’ commissioned by EstOvest Festival, Italy for Uilleann Piper Eoin O Riabhaigh and Xenia Ensemble
  • ‘All the Things Magicians Do’ commissioned by Belfast Philharmonic Kids’ Choirs. Premiered with Ulster Orchestra.

2015

  • String Quartet No. 3 ‘The Devil’s Dream’ commissioned by Vanbrugh Quartet, funded by The Arts Council ‘Music Project Award’. Premiered at West Cork Chamber Music Festival. Broadcast on RTÉ Lyric FM.
  • ‘Divisions’ commissioned by Baroque violinist Claire Duff, with support from Arts Council of Northern Ireland, to write a sonata for solo violin.
  • ‘Hive Mind’ written for Kensington Symphony Orchestra London for PRS for Music Foundation ‘Adopt a Composer’ programme, run by Making Music, in Partnership with Making Music, and in association with BBC Radio 3. Premiered at the Barbican Centre, London and broadcast on BBC Radio 3.

2014

  • ‘A Nywe Werk’ won Choir & Organ Magazine international composition competition 2014.
  • ‘Arche’ won West Cork Chamber Music Festival’s Young Composers’ Bursary and the string quartet was premiered at the festival
  • ‘Testament’ commissioned by Cavan Arts for the Cavan County Choir with the poet Heather Brett for the opening of the Cavan UNESCO Geopark
  • String Quartet No. 2 commissioned by the Prima String Quartet with support from Arts Council of Northern Ireland.
  • ‘Dreams’ won Feis Ceoil choral composition award
  • ‘Under-Song’ won Mornington Singers composition competition

2013

  • ‘Retreat’ won West Cork Chamber Music Festival’s Young Composers’ Bursary and the string quartet was premiered at the festival
  • ‘Et clamabant’ won Historic Scotland’s Fragments Composition Award
  • ‘Springer’ shortlisted for the National Centre for Early Music Composers’ Award 2013 in York, England

2012

  • ‘Jubilate Deo’ awarded first place in the St Giles’s Cathedral international composition competition by composer Sir James MacMillan
  • ‘Totaled’, an opera with libretto by Carlo Gébler, commissioned by Derry-Londonderry UK City of Culture 2013
  • ‘Love Has No Why’, a music-theatre work with text by Meister Eckhart, commissioned by Derry-Londonderry UK City of Culture 2013
  • ‘Blessed be that Maid Marie’ won Choir & Organ Magazine international composition competition 2012
  • ‘Number Seven’, an opera with libretto by Carlo Gébler, commissioned by the Legacy Trust UK to compose an opera for the Cultural Olympiad, part of the 2012 London Olympics
  • ‘Doire’ commissioned by Arts Council of Northern Ireland to celebrate Derry/ Londonderry City of Culture 2013.

2011

  • ‘long after sudden flash’ won Jerome Hynes composition competition. Premiered at the National Concert Hall, Ireland by pianist Fiachra Garvey
  • ‘Ibunt sancti’ won the Feis Ceoil choral composition award
